Curb Alerts covers street sweeping in Denver and San Francisco, and snow emergencies in Minneapolis.
For Minneapolis, the map shows which side of each street the city bans parking on, on each day of a
declared snow emergency, and the iPhone app can alert you when one is declared. Everything below
applies to each city as it does to the others.
Curb Alerts is a reminder tool built to help drivers remember posted street sweeping
restrictions in Denver and San Francisco. It is operated by Curb Alerts LLC ("we" and "us" in these terms). By using the app, you
agree to use it as an extra reminder and not as a replacement for checking posted signs, city rules, or
your own parking situation.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for parking legally. Street signs, temporary city notices, emergency restrictions,
construction, weather, and official city rules always control over anything shown in this app.
In San Francisco, street sweeping is enforced from the signs posted on each block, and the sign always
wins. Our San Francisco map follows the City and County of San Francisco's published schedule, which
can differ from the sign on a given block. The hours we show are the posted hours, not a promise of
when a sweeper will come, and a 5th-week day or a holiday may be swept or skipped contrary to what the
schedule says. Read the sign before you leave your car.
What it costs
The map, address search, curb colors, and saved curbs are free. In the Curb Alerts iPhone app, street sweeping
reminders and Minneapolis snow emergency alerts need a subscription, and one subscription covers every city. It is sold by Apple through the App Store. The plans and their prices are shown in
the app and on the App Store before you buy, and a free trial is offered on the yearly plan to people who have
not had one.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before.
Apple charges your Apple ID and handles billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds; you can manage or
cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID. We never see or store your card.
Your reminders will not stop without warning. If a payment fails, or your subscription is cancelled or ends,
the app tells you ahead of time and again when your reminders stop, so that a billing problem is never the
reason you get a ticket. The same goes for snow emergency alerts: if one is declared while your alerts are
off, we send you a single notice saying so.
A snow emergency alert is sent only after a person at Curb Alerts has confirmed the city's declaration, so
it can reach you later than the city's own announcement, or not at all. The City of Minneapolis announcement,
posted signs and the city's own parking map always control.
Changes to the app
We may change, add, pause, or stop features as the app improves.
Curb coverage is best effort and always will be. Each city's published sweeping data is incomplete in places,
cities change schedules, and nothing here guarantees that a given block is correct or that a reminder
will arrive. See the Disclaimer for what that means in practice.
Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the app, interfere with the service, scrape it aggressively, submit false reports, or
use it in a way that could harm other users or the city data services it relies on.
